The goal is to roll out signage, entertainment, and advertising network throughout the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. Each bus is required to have an industrial PC with the capability to handle adverse conditions, including temperature fluctuation and constant vibration while serving multimedia content on the move. There is also a need for real-time uninterrupted communication with bus control centers via the city-wide 3G network.
Lanner’s LVC-5000 Specially designed in-vehicle computer with ignition power management. Highly resistant to extreme temperatures, vibrations and shock) was identified as the right tool for the job. With processing power and video output tailored to the specific needs, the LVC-5000 is extremely price-competitive while offering solid performance and reliability. The LVC-5000 shows a combination of entertainment, news, and real time transport information due to constant connection to bus control center via the Internet.
The BRT operators benefit from additional commercial channels to generate revenue, while media companies appreciate the opportunity to reach a larger number of customers with in-transport advertising.
